“Tunisia is ranked second largest exporter of health services in Africa and tenth worldwide. The private health sector employs directly and indirectly 40,000 people manner” said Minister of Commerce, Najla Harrouche Moalla, on the occasion of the opening of the third edition of the International Exhibition of Health “Tunisia Health Expo” which runs from March 5 to 8 at the Kram Exhibition.
The Health Minister, Mohamed Salah Ben Ammar, for its part announced that $ 96 million dinars was allocated to purchase medical equipment for hospitals in the interior regions.
On another matter, the Minister of Health has lamented the lack of health professionals in several areas of the interior and to remedy the situation, he announced an upcoming redeployment skill in the field. The Health Minister regretted the lack of recruitment in the sector in 2014 due to the economic and financial situation. However, he says, sector employees who are retiring will be replaced.
